La recomendación de esta semana corresponde a una banda llamada Vampire Weekend, es una banda indie rock con influencias africanas y originaria de New York, su exito comienza cuando se empieza a publicar su material en la red.
La banda es relativamente nueva, ya que se unen por primera vez en el 2006 después de grabar una película llamada "Vampire Weekend" (De donde obtienen el nombre) mientras estudiaban en la universidad de Columbia.
En el 2008 lanzan su primer album titulado "Vampire Weekend" de donde se desprenden temas como A-punk (Con el que los conocí), Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa y Oxford Comma, entre otros.
Después lanzan 2 sencillos "Horchata" y "Cousins" (Que ocupa la recomendación musical de este post) y en enero del 2010 lanzan su segundo album titulado: "Contra". Como pueden observar, la banda no tiene aún una gran trayectoria con respecto al tiempo que llevan tocando, pero si tienen gran calidad y aquí les dejo el tema: Cousins.
