Vaquero es una banda regiomontana que se origina en el 2002 tras la disolucion de Zurdok, banda en la que participaban Chetes (El vocalista) y Mauricio Terracina (Bajista/Guitarrista/Productor) y que se dió a conocer por primera vez en el Vive Latino en la Latine Alternative Musc Conference, incluyendo también a Rodrigo Guardiola (Baterista) y Fernando Mijares (Guitarrista).
Después de un par de años su primera producción vió finalmente la luz, y se tituló "Vaquero"; después de esto, los integrantes dejaron el proyecto por un lado y se dedicaron a realizar trabajos por separado, con sus respectivas agrupaciones o como solistas (En el caso de Chetes), sin embargo afirmaron que esto no interferiría con el proyecto de "Vaquero" y aseguraron que ya están listos para llevar a estudio su nuevo material.
La banda esta clasificada en el género de Rock indie, alternativo o Power Pop, que conjuntan elementos del Rock con melodías pegajosas.
